Goal: own the most ground on the honeycomb when the game ends.
You have a hand of 6 letter tokens. On your turn, spell a real word (2 letters or more) in a straight line of hexes: across, or slanting down to the left or right.
Your word must join on to the words already on the board. The very first word must cover the centre hex.
If your new letters also touch other letters in another line, that line has to spell a real word too.
Thieving: every token in your word turns your colour, including your opponent's letters that your word runs through. That's how you steal their ground.
Scoring: what counts is the ground you own, not which letters you used. Each hex you own is 1 point, each of the six gold treasure hexes is 3, and using all 6 tokens in one word gives 5 bonus points.
After playing, your hand refills from the pouch. Stuck? Swap letters trades your whole hand for new ones, or Pass. Either one uses up your turn.
The game ends when someone uses their last token after the pouch is empty, or after 4 passes or swaps in a row. Most ground wins.
